Take a walk in and around Tokyo Monzennakacho Station 門前仲町駅構内・周辺を散歩

Monzennakacho Station is located in Monzennakacho, Koto Ward, Tokyo.
The Tozai Line of Tokyo Metro and the Oedo Line of the Toei Subway run through, making it a connecting station.
The Monzen-Nakacho area is a charming area that still retains the atmosphere of the Edo period and downtown.
A living environment protected by temples and shrines, where the largest Hachimangu in Edo, Tomioka Hachimangu, and Naritasan Fukagawa Fudodo stand. The environment where you can stroll along the approach to the shrine, enjoy shitamachi gourmet food, stroll around the city, and fully enjoy the Edo atmosphere can be said to be a unique feature of this place.
By the way, the ``monzen'' of Monzen-Nakacho comes from the fact that it was ``monzen-cho'' of ``Eitai-ji Temple'', which is the head of ``Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine''.
Many people, such as Basho Matsuo and Tadataka Ino, are related to this area.
There is a statue of Tadataka Ino near the torii gate of Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine, which was erected in 2001 based on the story that he visited Hachimangu Shrine in the morning when he left for surveying and prayed for his safety.
門前仲町駅（もんぜんなかちょうえき）は、東京都江東区門前仲町にある。
東京メトロの東西線と、都営地下鉄の大江戸線が乗り入れ、接続駅となっている。
門前仲町エリアは、いまなお江戸情緒、下町風情を残す魅力あふれるエリアである。
江戸最大の八幡宮である「富岡八幡宮」や「成田山 深川不動堂」が佇む、寺社に守られた住環境。参道を散策したり、下町グルメを堪能したり、街をそぞろ歩き、江戸情緒を満喫できる環境は、ここならではの特性といえよう。
ちなみに、門前仲町の“門前”とは、「富岡八幡宮」の別当である「永代寺」の“門前町”であったことに由来している。
松尾芭蕉、伊能忠敬などこの地に縁の人物も多い。
富岡八幡宮の鳥居近くには、伊能忠敬の像があるが、これは測量に出かける朝、八幡宮に参拝し、無事を祈念したとの話に基づき、平成13年に建立されたものだ。
